The Atlanta Falcons announced Saturday that they are placing starting punter Matt Bosher on injured reserve, ending his 2019 season. In addition to placing Bosher on IR, the Falcons have signed punter Ryan Allen, officially activated rookie guard Chris Lindstrom to the 53-man roster and waived tight end Carson Meier. Bosher, 32, was placed on IR previously this season prior to the Falcons’ Week 5 matchup with the Texans due to a groin injury. He was activated to the team’s 53-man roster on Dec. 2, but Bosher appeared on the team’s Friday injury report with the same right groin injury that landed him on IR the first time. Allen, 29, joined the Falcons during their bye week after spending much of his career with the New England Patriots. He played in four games with the team, showing a propensity to pin opponents deep in their own territory with coffin-corner punts. As Quinn announced would be the case on Friday, the Falcons have officially promoted Lindstrom to the 53-man roster.
